Along with Christian brothers and sisters from other local evangelical churches we provide a weekly time of friendship and fellowship to those within our community who are struggling to manage.
Some may be homeless, some may have life controlling addictions, some in recovery and some may be struggling with their mental health.
All are welcome, doors open before 5.00pm and many just gather for a chat enjoying the refreshments and treats we serve.
Around 6.00pm we have a musical presentation followed by short Gospel or encouraging message,.
We then serve a good quality 2 or 3 course meal. We also try and regularly have food bags or emergency parcels available for those in immediate crisis, as well as dry bedding and clothing for those in need.
Wherever possible we try and refer guests onto other specialist agencies or arrange placements in addiction treatment programs. (N.A ) Narcotics Anonymous also meet upstairs in the extension room afterwards for those wishing to attend.
Volunteers are always needed, but all helpers must be willing to undergo training and advanced DBS checking before helping on a formal basis.
Speak to the Pastor if you are interested and we will arrange for you to have an accompanied visit.
