Church Background & Information

St Annes Baptist Church (SABC) has had 13 Pastors. Rev W (Bill) Ferguson has served as our current Pastor since 1994. SABC is affiliated with the Northwest Baptist Association and with the UK Baptist Union.

We believe Jesus Christ died for our sins and was raised from the dead on the 3 day to sit at the right hand of God. Therefore Jesus is ALIVE and we can do nothing without first accepting Jesus into our lives and asking forgiveness of our sins. The justification of the sinner is solely by the grace of God through faith in Christ.

SABC has elected Deacons. These Deacons are responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the Church to include Finance, Discipleship, Fellowship, Pastoral Care, Building Maintenance, Prayer, Children’s Programmes, and to make necessary decisions for the Church, etc. The Deacons are elected by the Church membership and serve a 3 year term.

In order to become a Member of SABC, you must be a saved believer in Jesus Christ and have been baptised by immersion. If you are interested, please see one of the leadership team. If you have not been baptised, please see the Pastor for the next available Baptism class.

SABC is self-funding based on gifts, offerings, and tithes from people who attend or are members. Gift Aid is the preferred choice of offering since the UK Government offers 28% return for all money given through the Gift Aid scheme. If you would like to give through Gift Aid, please speak to our Treasurer.
